Clay Tiles - Fall 2021
Creating clay tiles this year with 7th grade has allowed us to explore radial symmetry and freedom of expression. It is interesting to see the contrast of the very orderly design of symmetry against the ‘free style tiles’ along side them. Students learned the components of this particular clay including ‘grog’, how to roll a slab, and how to use all sorts of tools for mark-making. I am beyond excited by how these turned out!
